Male dog neutering, otherwise known as sterilization, fixing, desexing or castration is the surgical removal of a male dog’s testicles.
Age for Neutering
A male dog ideally is neutered at 5 to 6 months of age. Younger or older is ok.
Preparation of the animal prior to entering the vet clinic.
Do not feed or give water after midnight before surgery.
The skin just in front of the scrotal sac is incised.
The testicle is lifted through the hole and removed.
